Tiananmen Massacre 25th anniversary

Dear Ms. Nguyen and to our Friends in the Tibet Alliance,

I am very happy to receive your letter. I have pasted your letter to my facebook page so that all my Filipino friends will read such a very good letter from a Vietnamese friend.

Indeed todays development in the South China Sea are picture of the arrogance of the Communist government of China, who despite the absence of any legal basis would want to claim dominion over the entire area.

The Chinese government have been blocking our poor fisherman in several areas which have been their fishing ground since time immemorial, some areas as close as 70 miles, deep within our maritime waters, Chinese ships are bullying our local fishermen. Our government though, have decided to bring the issue to international tribunal, but even though while the case is on progress, the Chinese army are building installations in the area which the Philippines has always considered as its territory.

I admire the brave and bold action of the Vietnamese people who confronted several Chinese vessels building an oil rig in what is clear clear Vietnamese waters. I admire the strong will of the Vietnamese not to succumb to the bullying tactics of China but rather had faced it with patriotic heart. 

During the Paracel island battle Vietnam may have lost a lot of brave soldiers, but this is a clear picture that Vietnam is ready to defend its territory. This bloody atrocities of China could have called the attention of the world long before, but just neglected it, and so the inevitable picture now is happening-China bullying all its neighbor.

I wish to express my sincere support to the Vietnamese people as they face Chinese atrocities, we, your filipino brothers, will look forward to working with you on some activities that will unite our people for one cause-fight the atrocities of the Communist Beijing.

I look forward to meeting you here in Manila, and hopefully we can plan a strong alliance between our people. I heard today that the Prime minister of Vietnam visited our President for strategic alliance, let then our government work together, but most of all we the people must find ways to work together. Today this strong force that we both face would be the same force that will unite our people to come up with a strong Alliance.

Tôi rất vui mừng nhận đươc thư của Bà.

Tôi đã phổ biến rộng rãi bức thư của Bà trên Facebook để các người bạn Phi Luật Tân của tôi được chia sẻ những cảm nghĩ tâm tình của một người bạn Việt Nam.

Mặc dù ngày hôm nay sự bành trướng của Trung Cộng tại vùng biển Nam Hải đã cho thấy âm mưu của bọn Tầu Cộng bất chấp những điều khoản căn bản trên toàn vùng.

Nhà cầm quyền Trung Cộng đã phong tỏa, áp bức những ngư dân nghèo túng của chúng tôi tại nhiều vùng lãnh hải mà họ đã từng kiếm sống từ rất nhiều năm qua, thâm chí có nhiều nơi lấn vào sâu đến 70 Hải lý của vùng hải phận của chúng tôi.

Những tầu chiến của Trung Cộng đã nả súng vào những tầu nhỏ đánh cá của người dân địa phương.

Chính Phủ chúng tôi quyết định đệ trình việc này lên Toà Án Quốc Tế.

Tuy nhiên trong khi chờ đợi sự việc này tiến hành thì quân đội Trung Cộng đã thiết lập nhiều căn cứ mà trước đây do Dân Tộc Phi Luật Tân là chủ quyền. 

Chúng tôi rất khâm phục lòng can trường của người dân Việt Nam đã phản ứng mãnh liệt về việc Trung cộng đã thành lập dàn khoan dầu hỏa trong vùng lãnh hải của nước Việt Nam.

Chúng tôi cũng nghiêng mình ngưỡng mộ sự bền gan chiến đấu chống lại bọn Tầu Cộng của Việt Nam thay vì cam lòng nhẫn nhịn.

Trong trận Hải chiến tại Hoàng Sa, Việt Nam đã bị tổn thất nặng nề thiệt hại nhiều nhân mạng nhưng điều này đã chứng minh ý chí quyết tâm gìn giữ bảo vệ từng tấc đất tấc biển của Việt Nam.

Sự đàn áp dã man hôi tanh mùi máu của Trung Cộng tuy đã thức tỉnh rất nhiều Quốc gia trên Thế giới nhưng rất tiếc họ chỉ thờ ơ trong im lặng vì thế nhiều Quốc gia khác bị ảnh hưởng lan tràn.

Chúng tôi hoàn toàn nhiệt thành ủng hộ Dân Tộc Việt Nam trong trận chiến với bọn Trung Hoa Đỏ. Chúng tôi những người Phi Luật Tân anh em với Quý vị cam kết sẽ sát cánh cùng các bạn trên một vấn nạn trước hiểm họa Cộng sản để cùng chống lại chủ nghĩa xâm lăng của Bắc Kinh.

Chúng tôi rất mong được gặp Bà tại Manila và hy vọng chúng ta sẽ tạo đươc một sự hổ tương chặt chẽ giữa hai Dân tộc Việt Nam và Phi Luật Tân.

Ngoài ra chúng tôi cũng được biết là Thủ Tướng CS Việt Nam sẽ thăm viếng Tổng Thống của Quốc gia chúng tôi đó là việc của họ làm với nhau.

Nhưng điều quan trọng nhất là hai Dân tộc Việt Nam và Phi Luật Tân chúng ta phải ngồi lại với nhau trong cùng một mục đích chung.

Ngày hôm nay sức mạnh hổ tương này của hai Quốc gia chúng ta chắc chắn sẽ tạo thành một sức mạnh đồng nhất cho một Liên Minh Việt Nam và Phi Luật Tân trong tương lai.

Smith on the Arrest of Chinese Citizens Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre WASHINGTON, D.C. - Last week, Chinese authorities arrested a group of well-known human rights activists for holding a private seminar in Beijing to Commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. China still bans public discussions and censors all internet searches about the event, where hundreds, if not thousands, of students and ordinary citizens were killed in June 1989, said U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (NJ-04), senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and chair of its subcommittee on global human rights. "Tiananmen Square has come to symbolize the brutal lengths the Chinese Communist Party will go to retain power.  The active suppression of any discussion about the facts of what happened 25 years ago continues to undermine trust in China's leaders," said Smith, co-chair of the U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China. "In 1989 they used guns and tanks to suppress the people's demands for freedom and democracy and today they use arrests, discrimination, and censorship to suppress those who peacefully seek basic freedoms and human rights. These are not the actions of a confident and powerful country.  We urge the Chinese authorities' to release those detained for holding a private Tiananmen commemoration and end all discrimination and harassment of former Tiananmen leaders who continue to fight peacefully for democratic reforms." Those detained last week include: Hu Shigen, former political prisoner and lecturer at Beijing Language and Culture University, who spent 16 years of the past 20 years in prison for his human rights and democracy advocacy; Pu Zhiqiang, a human rights lawyer and a survivor of the Tiananmen Square Massacre;  Xu Youyu, a renowned jurist and researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Liu Di, writer; and Hao Jian, a professor at the Beijing Film Academy. In addition, Ding Zilin, a leader of the Tiananmen Mothers, a group composed of women whose children were killed on June 4, 1989 and who have been demanding government accountability for the massacre, is under house arrest outside of Beijing. Gao Yu, an outspoken journalist and former Tiananmen protestor, was arrested and formally charged with leaking state secrets. First of all, I would like to express my appreciation and honor to have you as the supporters in the very long war against to the Chinese invaders.

As you know, Viet Nam is the primary " door " for China to get the ambition to control of all Far East countries.

Looking back to our history, Philippines and Viet Nam have a lot of closest relationship after the Viet Nam war, especially right after the tragedies of so-called " Boat people " trying to escape their country because the fear of the communists.

Philippines are clearly showed their HUMANITY by rescuing thousands and thousands of the unfortunate Vietnamese who escaped Viet Nam after the war ended on April 30 th, 1975.

The Vietnamese people and the Vietnamese Communities abroad are always very grateful about your helping hands in continuing support in the past for the Freedom of Viet Nam and the most important is the Freedom nearby your area.

To be grateful with the people who helping us is our Vietnamese custom always.

The Vietnamese people from all over the world and Philippines are Alliance-friends forever and nothing can separated.

I am very proud looking back not very far when Philippines got the disaster from tornadoes and floods, the Vietnamese people are always stand side-by-side with you and try to do the best we can to share with you in these desperate hours.

Recently, Viet Nam is suffering under the invasion of Red China, Philippines are standing with us with a big helping hand and a strong voice.

The Vietnamese people will never forget your bravery.

Theo tin tức từ hãng AFP, hàng trăm người Philippines và những người ủng hộ Việt Nam đã xuống đường biểu tình tại thủ đô Philippines vào sáng nay, 16/5 để yêu cầu Trung Quốc ngưng việc triển khai giàn khoan dầu tại vùng đặc quyền kinh tế của Việt Nam.

Cảnh sát chống bạo động Philippines đã được huy động chặn lối vào khu lãnh sự quán Trung Quốc tại trung tâm tài chính Manila khi có khoảng 200 người diễu hành tiến tới khu này.

Những người biểu tình mang theo các băng rôn, khẩu hiệu như: “Việt Nam – Philippines chung tay loại bỏ Trung Quốc”, “Trung Quốc hãy thôi ngay việc bắt nạt Việt Nam và Philippines” và “Chúng tôi ủng hộ Việt Nam”.

Trong tuần này, Philippines đã tiến hành xét xử 9 thuyền viên Trung Quốc phạm tội đánh bắt rùa biển trái phép tại vùng biển của nước này.

Những người biểu tình hô vang “Hoàng Sa-Việt Nam” khi đề cập đến việc Trung Quốc triển khai giàn khoan dầu trái phép trong vùng biển Việt Nam.

Các chính trị gia Philippines cùng cộng đồng người Việt tại Manila đã xuống đường tham gia biểu tình. “Chúng tôi ở đây để phản đối những gì Trung Quốc đang làm với Việt Nam. Chúng ta cần kêu gọi sự hỗ trợ của bạn bè khu vực và quốc tế”, Arya Nguyen, 1 trong số 60 người Việt tại Philippines tham gia cuộc biểu tình nói với AFP.

“Nếu họ (chính phủ Trung Quốc) có thể làm điều đó với Việt Nam thì họ cũng có thể làm vậy với tất cả các quốc gia khác, Janicee Buco, một đại diện của tổ chức Filipina, Hiệp hội Philippines Việt Nam nói.
